'Vision in red' virtual fashion runway concept 2023

Background

As the technology available to digital fashion designers improves and becomes more accessible to more people, we wanted to create a short runway video to demonstrate what is possible in 2023 with fairly minimal hardware and software.

Kamol designed this beautiful asymmetric dress in a crinkle satin fabric, paired with a dramatic hat inspired by the Dior New Look silhouette.

We created this 'underground' cave scene, with floating boulders that the avatar walked through. The slow-motion video adds to the drama of the runway and really shows off how the fabric drapes and flows.

We used Style3D software to create the garment and fabric animation, and then took this in to Blender to create the environment scene, lighting, cameras etc. And then used a video compositor to finalise the production with music and compose the final video.
